How a Voigt home gets built.
Building a custom home has a lot of moving parts. Here is how we keep it manageable, from first conversation through key handover.
- Licensed general contractor

Five stages, one house.
- 01
First conversation
We ask about your site, your vision, your timeline and the budget you have in mind. You leave knowing whether we are a fit and what your project would realistically cost to build.
Typically~1 week
- 02
Design & pre-construction
We work alongside your architect and designer, or introduce ours, to turn plans into a line-item budget and a construction schedule. Nothing breaks ground until you have approved both.
Typically2 – 6 mo
- 03
Permitting
We file and track every permit and regulatory approval, including coastal construction and flood-zone review where the site calls for it. This stage is the one least under anyone's control.
Typically4 – 12 wk
- 04
Construction
One project manager and one superintendent stay with your home from ground breaking to handover. You get regular site updates, and selections and change orders are priced in writing before they are ordered.
Typically12-24 months
- 05
Final walkthrough & handover
We walk the home room by room with you and work the punch list until it is clear. Warranty coordination continues after you move in.
Typically~2 weeks

What we handle.
- Permitting and regulatory approvals across Sarasota and Manatee Counties
- Open book pricing, so you see the value behind every dollar sent
